‘Little Lotte’ is based on the childhood of the German film director Charlotte (Lotte) Reiniger, also known as, "The Queen of Silhouettes". A young woman "bitten" by the magic of the first ‘moving pictures’, inspired by the fairytales she read and her adventures exploring the forest .
We follow Lotte and her dreams of becoming a great filmmaker as she goes on a fantastical journey with animal friends, magic and dragons!​

We hope to inspire young children to follow their dreams
and to present them historical heroines to look up to.
‘Little Lotte’ can tour to non-traditional spaces be it; classrooms, children’s hospitals, community centers, or be performed on-top of the ‘Lotte’ main set to create a bigger and more theatrical version for big groups.

This is a 35 minutes show, followed by a puppetry workshop. Where kids can make and play with shadow puppets of their very own!
